St. James Parish News & Events
Parishioner News
It is with profound joy that we note the following. on December 8th, parishioner Betsy Boyer noted the 76th anniversary of her “First Holy Communion” . She received her first Holy Communion in 1932 at the former, Sacred Heart Church, East St. Louis, IL. Praised be Jesus Christ, now and forever.
A tip of our hats to Lorin Gregory, parishioner, and a survivor of the historic attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese Air forces on December 7, 1941. He was a U.S. Marine at the time, and his wife Ruby Gregory was also in Honolulu, Hawaii at the time, working in marine allied employment. They were introduced during our
10:00 am Mass on Sunday December 7th , so that new and younger members of the parish would be made aware of their contributions.
Our Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Christopher Craig on the occasion of their Wedding on Saturday, December 6, 2008 here at St. James.
Remember in your prayers Timothy Greg Edgar, who recently passed away. As we remember him in our prayers, we offer support to his family and friends. The Funeral Mass was at St. James on Thursday, December 4, 2008.
